Euphonix System 5-B on-air and production digital
audio mixing system
|
At this year’s National Association of Broadcasters
(NAB) show in Las Vegas, Euphonix, world leader in large-format
mixing consoles and control surfaces, will be introducing
two new solution updates for its broadcast range of audio
mixing systems. These new solutions are part of a long-term
evolutionary upgrade of System
5-B and Max
Air started 18
months ago with the introduction of new control surfaces
and DSP
SuperCore for the broadcast market.
On display will be a new Fiber
Stagebox Solution for broadcast
applications. This modular, remote, high-density Stagebox,
capable of up to 56 mic preamps each, features redundant
fiber audio connectivity and control. This new solution connects
multiple high-density stage boxes into the Euphonix DSP SuperCore
via MADI over fiber with control directly from the console’s
channel strips.
Euphonix will also be demonstrating Ross OverDrive Production
Control integrated with the System 5-B mixing system. The
OverDrive offers centralized control of many studio
devices including servers, routers, and robotic cameras,
as well as the audio console. The system’s Rundown
Control playlist software allows for fully automated productions.

Speed up and enhance video editing! The new Artist
Series MC Control provides high speed Ethernet
control via the EuCon protocol to video edit applications
such as Final Cut Pro.

The new Euphonix Artist
Series controllers will be making their
NAB debut. Comprised of the MC Mix and MC Control units the
Artist Series brings the unparalleled speed, resolution and
control of Euphonix' high-end professional consoles to software
based audio and video applications on the Mac OSX platform.
Of particular interest to broadcasters is the MC Control’s
ability to speed up and enhance video editing with applications
such as Apple’s Final Cut Pro. |
