Re-Recording Team Win Oscar for Sound Mixing

Euphonix congratulates Todd-AO Re-Recording mixers Scott
Millan and David Parker who earned the Academy Award® for
Best Achievement in Sound Mixing during last night’s
gala ceremony. The winning pair will share the award with
Production Mixer Kirk Francis.
This is the fourth Oscar® for Millan who previously
won for Ray, Gladiator and Apollo 13 and has been nominated
on three other occasions. For Parker, it is his second Oscar®.
He previously won for The English Patient and has two other
nominations.
Todd-AO West has 5 Euphonix System 5 consoles and during
the re-recording process several of the rooms were brought
into the action, including Stage 3 which was used by Shawn
Murphy for mixing the 96kHz score.

for a Sound Mixing Oscar® every year since 2001. Even
