in 2008

New Look System 5-MC Integrated DAW Controller Featuring
the MC Pro with System 5 Channel Strips
|
For 2008, Euphonix, a world leader in large-format mixing
consoles and control surfaces, has introduced a new look
to its lineup of DAW controllers. Following the successful
introduction of the black-look S5 Fusion digital audio mixing
system earlier this year, the new 2008 models of the MC Pro
and the System 5-MC controllers both support this same dark
finish. The sleek new looks are backed up with enhanced EuCon
support as more media application companies such as Apple,
Apogee, Cakewalk, MOTU and Sony provide greater support of
the Euphonix EuCon protocol in their audio and video software
applications.
In this latest product generation, the redesigned
and renamed black MC Pro features a new smooth jog/shuttle
wheel on the left side of the unit for greater ergonomic
comfort. With 56 programmable SmartSwitches, nine touch-sensitive
knobs for plug-in and processor control, and four touch-sensitive
faders for accessing track levels, the MC Pro workstation
controller will change your approach to media production
forever. The new MC Pro can effortlessly switch between software
applications and multiple workstations with the press of
a button. From Pro Tools to Logic Pro, from Nuendo to Digital
Performer the MC Pro enables control of any application on
the market today. Based on EuCon a high-speed, high-resolution
Ethernet protocol, the MC Pro provides universal control
of multiple applications and workstations.

Also sporting a
hot new darker look next year is the System 5-MC. This
cutting-edge DAW controller combines the control surface design of the long successful
Euphonix System 5 with the innovative features of the MC Pro for master control
functions and network control of multiple DAWs. Expandable from 8 to 48 channel
strips, the 5-MC works with any application supported by EuCon, HUI or Mackie
Control Protocol and can seamlessly switch between multiple Mac and PC workstations.
“2008
will be a year of new looks for Euphonix,” explained corporate
CEO, Martin Kloiber. “In the New Year we will debut some hot new products
for the personal studio market, introduce some redesigned products into the professional
market and we will launch a fresh new Artist Series website. We are also increasing
the reach and power of the EuCon control protocol as more and more manufacturers
join with us to improve connectivity between their software products and our
control surfaces.”

“January 2008 also marks two other remarkable milestones
for Euphonix. It’s our 20th Anniversary and it will
be the first time our company has exhibited at the NAMM show
in Anaheim. It’s all very new and exciting for
us and we are eager to introduce the innovative Euphonix
Artist Series product line into the MI market segment of
our industry,” Kloiber concluded.
The new black System
5-MC can be seen at NAMM in January together with the new
Euphonix Artist Series product line for the personal studio.
The Euphonix tradeshow space will be located in Rooms B5955
and B5959 between Halls A and B of the Anaheim Convention
Center from January 17-20, 2008. |
