Software Quality Assurance Tester
Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Review new product specifications for issues related to
quality, such as usability and testability.
- Estimate/plan testing efforts required to perform testing
of new products and software revisions, major product releases
as well as patches and bug fixes.
- Create and execute test plans for new products and updates
for existing products
- Communicate results of testing work via bug tracking
system and status reports
- Work closely with software engineers and customer support
engineers to isolate faults in the system.
- Assist software developers in creating unit tests and
testing harnesses for new and existing products.
- Develop automated regression testing infrastructure.
- Implement test scripts based on defect reports and requests
from software developers.
- Support external customers via email and telephone to
troubleshoot problems and/or bugs at their location.
- Occasional travel to customer sites.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 4 years advanced education and/or experience
as a Software QA Engineer or as a sound engineer or mixer
in the Post-production, Film, Broadcast or Music industry.
- At least 3 years applicable professional industry experience
with hands on mixing and audio system routing and design.
- Experience in audio production using large format consoles
and/or digital audio workstations – for example: ProTools,
Nuendo, Logic
- Ability to learn and operate large format digital mixing
consoles and DAWs.
- General knowledge of PC based workstations and applications.
- Some experience programming in a high-level language
such as C, C++, or Basic.
- Basic script writing skills (Python or Perl) highly desirable.
- Excellent people, communication and organizational skills
Senior Mechanical Design Engineer
Summary:
This is a senior-level position on Euphonix’s Hardware
Engineering team in Palo Alto, California. You will be responsible
for all mechanical design of high-end digital audio mixing
systems. This will include the design of all mechanical components
including enclosures, control surfaces, and cosmetic trim.
Also, you will be responsible for the entire product lines’ industrial
design. The ability to work in a team environment against
technical and schedule challenges, and implement robust engineering
and scientific principles are essential.
General:
Ideal candidate will be well organized, have a team-oriented
work ethic, and be seeking to work in a fast paced technical
environment.
Qualifications:
- Demonstrated systems design background integrating human
factors and ergonomics with mechanical, electrical, manufacturing,
and safety and compliance requirements.
- Experience in the design of thermal formed plastics,
injection-molded plastics, and stamped sheet metal, and
associated manufacturing and rapid prototyping processes
required. Experience with PCB mechanical design and selection & integration
of electro-mechanical components such as displays, switches,
cables, and connectors required.
- Experience in 3D-design modeling and creation of design
drawings. FEA experience a plus.
- Understanding of the product development lifecycle required.
- Customer and quality focused. Strong communication and
interpersonal skills. Ability to work in diverse cross-functional
teams.
- Demonstrated technical expertise in thermal analysis
and cooling of complex electronic systems would be advantageous.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering and at least
ten years relevant product development experience, or a
master's degree and at least eight years' experience.
- Direct involvement in the successful development of at
least two complex electronic products from concept through
release to production including EMC mitigation.
- Methodical and detail-oriented with a thorough approach
to problem solving, good communication skills, and a team-oriented
work ethic.
- Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks
- Strong technical focus.
- Experience supervising contractors and vendors
- Strong understanding of low to mid-volume manufacturing
techniques for custom sheet-metal, machined and molded
components.
- Strong 3D CAD skills, including Solidworks and AutoCAD.

Design and develop software for Euphonix digital audio products
for Film, TV, and Music applications. We are looking for a
thorough knowledge of C++ and Object Oriented Design techniques.
Candidates must be ambitious, positive and willing to learn:
Software Architect
Technical lead position. Develop overall software architecture,
as well as detailed design for high-performance, modular,
networked systems that process real-time audio and efficiently
handle complex control surfaces. Host design reviews, and
then become technical lead on teams as the designs are implemented
and tested. Contribute major components to projects, and serve
as a mentor to other team members. Must have the ability and
desire to take on large-scale projects with significant design
challenges.
Requirements:
- Experience designing large, object-oriented software systems
and implementing them in C++
- Experience developing embedded, real-time systems
- Network programming experience
- Familiarity with real-time embedded kernels
- Familiarity with popular design patterns
- Excellent communication skills, both written and oral

Highly Desirable:

Software Engineer - GUI
Work with a graphic designer to implement next generation
graphical user interfaces for Euphonix products. Design and
implement modular and efficient screen display components
that can be used across a wide variety of products to create
a common “look-and-feel”.
Requirements:
- 3+ years graphical programming experience
- Familiarity and experience with Windows graphic/UI components
– MFC, GDI, GDI+, etc.
- Experience working in teams on large software projects
- Strong knowledge of C++ and object-oriented coding techniques
Highly Desirable:
- 1+ years experience specifically with Windows graphic
programming
- Experience with MacOSX graphic programming
- Experience developing cross-platform components (especially
Mac/PC)
- BA in Computer Science
