The System
5-B digital
broadcast console is specifically configured for live and live-to-tape
production with dual redunadant power supplies and redundant DSP

Post-Production
The System
5-BP has all the redundant features of the System 5-B but
with dynamic Mix Automation and Machine Control so it is able to
handle applications where both on-air and audio post production
is required from a single system.
System 5-B & System 5-BP for Live Venue Applications
Several large venues have installed System 5 consoles. Whenever the
venue is involved in live broadcast, System 5-B is
the perfect fit. In many cases these consoles also double up to
perform audio post tasks, usually for re-purposing shows for later
re-broadcast or for distribution on CD or DVD - in these cases
the System 5-BP, with both on-air redundant features, and the full
adynamic mix automation, is the choice. Venues such as Sydney Opera
House, Grand Ole Opry, Lakewood Church and the Mormon Tabernacle
Choir are good examples of installations that benefit from the
System 5-BP feature set. System 5-B can also be used as a Front
of House console especially when a System 5 is used for on-air
broadcast mixing - examples of this aplication include the Tonight
Show with Jay Leno and Lakewood Church. In this case MADI connectivity
between the main broadcast console and the FOH console ensure efficient
sharing of sources.
