Modular Rack Mount I/O System

The new range of converters is based around a 3RU 19" chassis conforming to the DIN 41494 specification. Over 20 different input/output cards are available offering many different combinations including AES 10 MADI, AES/EBU (both 75 and 110 ohm), SDI with embedder and de-embedder, and analog converters up to 24bit/96KHz sample rate. A high quality, 24-bit, 142db signal to noise, 4-channel microphone preamp module is also available with remote Ethernet control of gain and phantom from one or multiple consoles. The system can handle up to 40 mic preamps, with MADI card connectivity, in a single rack.

The rack is available with dual redundant PSUs as standard, different sync options, and with Ethernet and serial card options for remote monitoring and control. I/O Cards offer from 4-8 channels (up to 64 for MADI) making it possible to provide a wide variety of I/O within a single unit. Euphonix' existing converter products are high-quality multi-channel converters and microphone preamplifiers in a 2RU form factor but with fixed 24-channel modularity. Euphonix continue to manufacture and support their line of 2RU converters including the FC726, the popular 56-channel digital format converter.
